5 Day Workshop €160

Dates: 9:30 - 12:30, Monday 4th - Friday 8th July
Venue: Ard Scoil Phobal, Bantry, Co. Cork

This workshop will focus on the short story. One of the most demanding and challenging of genres, the emphasis will be on practical work. Each day will explore a particular aspect of the form – character, setting, time frame, point – the aim being that each student will have written a finished story by the end of the week. By way of illustration, students are asked to bring a favourite short story to the workshop, and be prepared to discuss its merits. In addition to workshop work, each student will have the opportunity of benefiting from short one-to-one tutorials.
