BookTicketsLitButtonAFTERNOON TEA with LYNNE TRUSS

lynne 7

Lynne Truss, writer and broadcaster, was as surprised as anyone when her book Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation became a global bestseller. She honestly isn’t obsessed with correct English, but on the other hand still enjoys talking about it. Why do we care about these small printers’ marks? Can we manage without them? What is wrong with a sign that says “RESIDENTS REFUSE TO GO IN THE BINS”?

Complimentary tea, cakes and delicious sandwiches
